Privacy policy

How this site handles information

Effective August 20, 2026. This policy explains information handling on MiddleNameGenerator.com and the choices available to visitors.

Summary

The name generator does not ask for a name, account, date of birth, address, or other personal profile. Gender and style selections and generated results are processed in the visitor’s browser. They are not submitted to our server by the generator, and they disappear when the page is reloaded or the list is cleared.

If you use a copy button, the selected text is sent to your device clipboard through browser functionality. Clipboard behavior is controlled by your browser and operating system.

Information processed automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard request and security information when a page is visited. This can include an IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, referring page, date and time, response status, and diagnostic or security events. This information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and understand aggregate site reliability.

We do not ask visitors to submit sensitive personal information. Please do not send identity documents, passwords, financial information, medical information, or other sensitive data by email.

Cookies and local storage

The current generator does not require an account and does not use browser storage to save a personal name history. Essential hosting or security services may use cookies or similar technologies when necessary to deliver and protect the site. If analytics or advertising services are enabled, additional cookies or identifiers may be used as described below.

Google advertising and third-party vendors

MiddleNameGenerator.com may use Google AdSense or other advertising services to support the site. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

Third parties may place and read cookies on a visitor’s browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving. Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies where those vendors are authorized to serve ads on the site.

Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Visitors may also review opt-out options offered by participating companies at AboutAds. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Consent for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Where required, the site will request consent before using cookies or local storage for personalized advertising and before collecting, sharing, or using personal data for advertising personalization. When Google advertising is enabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the site will use a Google-certified consent management platform compatible with the applicable Transparency and Consent Framework requirements.

A consent message may allow eligible visitors to accept, reject, or manage available choices. Changing or withdrawing consent may affect whether personalized or non-personalized advertising is shown.

Analytics

If privacy-conscious analytics are added, this policy will identify the provider, the information processed, the purposes, retention approach, and available controls. Analytics will not be used to ask the generator for personal names or to create a personal naming profile.

External links

The site links to third-party resources such as the U.S. Social Security Administration, the U.S. Census Bureau, and Google privacy controls. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies. A link does not give us control over a third party’s collection, security, or retention practices.

Email communications

If you email us, we receive the address, message, and information you choose to include. We use it to review and respond to the request, maintain security, and document corrections when necessary. We do not sell email addresses. Messages may be retained for a reasonable period for support, legal, abuse-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes.

Children’s privacy

The site is a general-audience resource intended for adults and families making naming decisions. It is not directed to children under 13, does not offer child accounts, and does not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so the request can be reviewed.

Data security and retention

Reasonable measures are used to protect the site and information under our control, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. To make a privacy request, email hello@middlenamegenerator.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may need enough information to understand and lawfully respond to the request, but please do not send identity documents unless specifically and securely requested.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when the site, service providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, when appropriate, providing an additional notice.
